My extensive background as a soldier in the British Army has cultivated in me a deep passion for the hills and mountains, propelling me to pursue and develop my climbing and mountaineering skills. In 1994, I successfully completed the Military Top Rope and Abseiling Supervisors Course, marking the beginning of my journey in honing my expertise. Since then, I have dedicated significant time and effort to obtain the qualifications necessary to instruct and lead groups in both crags and mountains. My commitment to personal and professional development has led me to lead expeditions to climb mountains worldwide, including being part of a group that trekked to Everest Base Camp. Among my notable achievements are completing the Welsh 3000s, conquering all 214 Wainwright peaks in the Lake District, and undertaking the National and Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge multiple times under varying weather conditions. These experiences have not only solidified my technical skills but have also shaped my resilience and adaptability in challenging environments.
